As part of this festive occasion, SlotoCash online casino is inviting gamers to embrace the spirit of the Caribbean through three unique Caribbean-themed casino games – Caribbean Draw Poker, Caribbean Stud Poker and Caribbean Hold 'Em Poker.

Caribbean Culture in America

Caribbean culture has had a vibrant and influential presence in America. For hundreds of years, people of the Caribbean have enriched the America's diverse mosaic through their unique music, cuisine, language, festivals and online slots for real money.

Caribbean music has enriched the American musical scene with new rhythms, styles and perspectives. America's cultural expressions have been influenced by Caribbean music styles such as reggae, Calypso, soca, salsa and dancehall.

These musical genres have also been responsible for influencing many of America's most prolific artists who have incorporated the Caribbean's laid-back groove and socially conscious lyrics into their own rock, punk, rap and hip hop. Salsa is another genre that has contributed to the American music scene with its energetic rhythms and danceable beats.

Caribbean cuisine, known for its use of bold spices, herbs, and seasonings such as allspice, ginger, thyme, cumin and Scotch bonnet peppers reflects the diverse histories and cultures of the Caribbean islands.  Caribbean cuisine is a unique blend of the African, Indian, European and Indigenous cultures that populate the region.

Thanks to the influence of Caribbean cuisine, fruits and vegetables like plantains, sweet potatoes, jerk spices, yams and tropical fruits (guava, mango and papaya) have become stapes of the American palate.  Today you can find Caribbean staples like jerk chicken, fish stews and rice and peas around the entire United States.

Caribbean Gaming Fun

Caribbean entertainment influences much of American entertainment. Caribbean movies, TV shows and documentaries feature prominently in American media and Caribbean-inspired fashion, with its bright colors and patterns, plays a major influence on American streetwear and festival fashion.

For casino aficionados, the Caribbean can be thanked for three of the casino's most popular poker variations, Caribbean Draw Poker, Caribbean Stud Poker and Caribbean Hold 'Em Poker. Celebrate Caribbean American Heritage Month with some Caribbean poker fun!

Caribbean Draw Poker

Caribbean Draw Poker is a variant of traditional Draw Poker. The game combines elements of traditional Draw poker and gives it a Caribbean-style theme as you strive to create the best possible poker hand, with the lowest possible hand being a pair of Jacks or Better. You can then discard up to two cards that you don't want to keep and those cards will be replaced. Now you compare your hand to the dealer's hand.

The dealer must have a pair of 8's or better to qualify – if he doesn't qualify, you win even money on your ante bet and you keep your raised bet. All other winning hands will be determined based on which hand has the highest-ranking poker hand.

If there's a tie, you compare which hand has the highest card value. Hand rankings are similar to that of traditional Draw Poker with a Royal Flush being the highest hand, followed by four-of-a-kind, a full house, a flush, a straight, three-of-a-kind, two pairs, one pair of Jacks or Better or a high card.

Some Caribbean Draw Poker Basic Strategy tips include the advice to always hold onto a pair of Jacks or Better and discard any hands that are lower than a pair of Jacks unless you're trying for a straight or flush or some other specific hand.

It's important to be aware of the odds of completing specific hands and play accordingly. For example, completing a straight with four connected cards has about a 10% chance while completing a flush when holding four suited cards has about a 19% chance of being completed.

Caribbean Stud Poker

SlotoCash's Caribbean Stud Poker takes video poker to the next level with a five-card game where the player enjoys a significant edge over the dealer.

To play Caribbean Stud poker, make your ante bet and click "Deal" to receive four cards face down and one card shown face up. At the same time, the dealer will also receive 5 cards. Make your second bet and trade in the cards that you don't want.

Then, compare your hand to the dealer's hand. The dealer must have a King and an Ace or a pair or better to qualify – if the dealer doesn't qualify, you win even money on your ante and keep your raised bet.

After that, the winning hand is determined by the highest-ranking poker hand. Paytable for Caribbean Stud Poker is Royal Flush, Straight Flush, Four-of-a-Kind, Full House, Flush, Straight, Three-of-a-Kind, two pairs and pairs of Jacks or Better.

Caribbean Hold 'Em Poker

The goal of Caribbean Hold 'Em Poker is similar to Caribbean Stud and Caribbean Draw Poker but the process is quite different.

You'll still be building a 5-card poker hand that you want to beat the dealer's hand but you start with your ante, after which you'll be dealt 3 face-up cards and two face-down cards. If you believe that your hand will beat the dealer's hand you can all to make an additional bet of 2x the ante.

After the Call bet, if you are still in the game, you will receive two more face-up cards. You build your hand with five of those 7 cards. Whoever has the best hand, wins.

When evaluating your hands, only a hand that has a minimum of two pairs will qualify. Paytable for Caribbean Hold 'Em Poker is Royal Flush, Straight Flush, Four-of-a-Kind, Full House, Flush, Straight, Three-of-a-Kind and two pairs.
